Summary of 2006 News
- Dec, 2006. Attended the 2006 AGU Fall Meeting where I presented a poster on the Greenland melt area index work we have been researching here at LANL, along with
some additional investigations on understanding surface skin temperature thermal variability
and also the response of a Southwest montane environment to an extended drought followed by a wetting monsoonal period.
- Dec, 2006. Paper published online in Remote Sensing of Environment on the multi-scale estimation of evapotranspiration using remote sensing data from MODIS, Landsat and ASTER - the first investigation to comprehensively compare these three sensors.
- Sept, 2006. Work undertaken with Lee Balick and James Theiler at LANL together with Alan Gillespie and Amit Mushkin at U.W. on the "Forward modeling of linear mixing in thermal IR temperature retrieval" is to be presented at RAQRS'II in Valencia, Spain
- Sept, 2006. Work by the same authors (above) on the "Forward modeling of linear mixing in thermal IR ground leaving radiance spectra" will be presented at the SPIE Europe Optics/Photonics in Security and Defence conference in Stockholm, Sweden.
