This Web page will try to help you fix problems with ADSM or point you in the right direction for assistance.

Failure to Backup/Restore

  • Macintosh - Running Open Transport with an older version of the ADSM client may cause problems. Make sure that you're running the most recent version of the ADSM Client. You can download the latest client by going to the Mac Download page
  • Local network problems may exist. Contact your system or network administrator to help you determine if you have a network problem.
  • If you experience long delays in restoring or backing up files, the ADSM server may have all its tape drives in use. You may wish to wait and try later.
  • Your files may be locked. This can happen if you have a bad charge code set up for your workstation backup. If you suspect that this is true, contact adsm_admin@lanl.gov.
  • There are problems with the ADSM server. If these problems seem to persist, contact adsm_admin@lanl.gov.
