How do I restore existing files?
You need to run ADSM Backup (Mac), ADSM Backup Client (Windows 95/98/NT), or type "dsm" (Unix), not the ADSM Scheduler. Then, click the Restore button in the Hub Window. Visit the tutorial center for your platform for help with restores.

How do I restore files no longer on my hard drive?
The files you are looking for have been marked inactive. You need to run ADSM Backup (Mac), ADSM Backup Client (Windows 95/98/NT), or type "dsm" (Unix), not the ADSM Scheduler. Then, click the Restore button in the Hub Window. Visit the tutorial center for your platform for help with restoring a file and information on active/inactive file differences.

How do I do a total restore?
1. Run ADSM Backup (Mac), ADSM Backup Client (Windows 95/98/NT), or type "dsm" (Unix).
2. Click the Restore button in the Hub Window.
3. Place a check () next to the hard disk you wish to restore.
4. Click the Restore button.
5. Leave the Original Location option selected and click Restore.
6. ADSM will do a complete restore.

Will ADSM overwrite existing files?
ADSM will ask you if you wish to overwrite files or not. Visit the tutorial center for your platform, click the restoring a Specific File or FOlder link and read the More Information section for additional information.
