Kenneth Hanson - Home page

Kenneth M. Hanson has worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory since 1975. His research in image analysis has been applied to medical imaging and dynamic radiography. His research interests have included:

uncertainty in neutron cross sections; Peelle's pertinent puzzle
combining inconsistent cross-section measurements
coping with outliers in data sets in a consistent manner
uncertainty assessment of simulation codes for their quantitative validation
Bayesian methods for drawing inferences about models
quasi-Monte Carlo; Centroidal Voronoi Tessellation (CVT)
uncertainty estimation using Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling
Hamiltonian (hybrid) method for Markov Chain Monte Carlo
solving ill-posed inverse problems
