Abstract

This new RTDF funded project concentrates on the development of algorithms and software tools for searching the information available on the World-Wide Web. Specifically, we are developing algorithms for analyzing the graph defined by the link structure of the WWW, studying the use of external data algorithms for speeding up the computations associated with very large amounts of data, and using graph separation algorithms for clustering web pages according to their content. On the practical side, we plan to design a prototype of a search engine for locating research related resources on the Web.
