University Groups

University of Virginia, Dept. of Materials Sci. & Eng. Center for Electrochemical Science & Engineering (CESE) is a cornicopia of ongoing projects in corrosion - electrochemistry. Their site has plenty of related information and info. on some real swell eggs too!!!

University of Manchester, Intsitute of Sci. & Tech. across the pond in Great Britain, the UMIST-corrosion server boasts ... 'if you've got the time, we've got the rust'. This site is the mother of all corrosion sites!!!

The Fontana Corrosion Center at Ohio State University is home to one of the world's richest traditions in corrosion research. The activities of the Fontana Corrosion Center are focused on aqueous corrosion, environmental fracture, high-temperature corrosion, oxidation, and modeling.

Penn State University has The Materials Research Intsitute (MRI). Among its corrosion groups are the Corrosion Center and the Center for Advanced Materials.

University of Minnesota Corrosion Reseach Center specializing in aqueous, atmospheric, and high temperature corrosion as well as fuel cells, high resolution techniques, sensors, and batteries.

State University of New York at Stoney Brook, Corrosion and Surface Chemistry Lab (STONEY) - contact Prof. Clive Clayton.

University of Delaware, Applied Ocean Science Program (AOS) - contact Prof. Steve Dexter.

The Institute for Materials Chemistry and Corrosion IBWK W+K headed up by Dr. H. Bohni at the Swiss Federal Institute ofTechnology - Zurich (EHT).

Pranesh B. Aswath at the University of Texas at Arlington pursues research in high temperature oxidation and ceramics.
